Happy Endorphins

Got up and walked 2.2 miles with my sister-in-law this morning. Then I came home and did DDP Yoga Energy with my husband. A good day for exercise! I guess my husband gets to live another day….=)

Day Three

Got up at 5:15 and had another great workout (DDP Yoga-Energy). I am really loving the quiet time in the mornings. I read my devotion and actually got caught up in reading scripture and lost track of the time. It’s one thing to hear bible stories and another to really read them from scripture and study their meaning. Thank you, Lord, for that gift.

I find myself continually in prayer. It’s a pretty cool change. There have been times in my life when I realize days, maybe even weeks, have gone by that I don’t pray. Or maybe, I send up a few flippant lines, but not sincere thoughts and genuine prayers. I am enjoying the continual communion with God. Feeling very blessed!

It happened…

Mondays can be tough. Most Mondays are challenging because it’s back to the normal routine after a couple of days without one. I don’t know about you, but my weekends are always different and with kids, there’s always something going on. So there is no real routine. (But I recognize I do need to put a few things in place so that I don’t lose focus.) Yes, Mondays are tough, but I got up yesterday at 5:15 and did my workout anyway.

And then…it happened…today I woke up at 5:05 BEFORE my alarm! I just finished an awesome workout (DDP Fat Burner) and I feel great! Have an awesome Tuesday!

The Lord has won and Victory is in store!!!

Moving Mountains

Yesterday was a long day. I purposely did not work out because I needed to rest my muscles. However, I did still get up at 5:30 to spend time in the Word. I am really enjoying this new routine. I left my house at 7:00 am and after work and errands, I walked back through the door at 9:02 pm. Whew! I was exhausted. I was very tempted when my alarm went off this morning to hit snooze. Actually, I wanted to throw it across the room if you really want the truth. But instead, I got up. I put one foot in front of the other and I did my morning workout. Those first 2 minutes of the day seem so difficult, but it feels so good on the other side when I push through. It was a great workout (Fat Burner-DDP Yoga) and I felt awesome after I finished. Moving mountains…one pebble at a time! One early morning at a time! One good food choice at a time! One new habit at a time! One ounce of faith at a time! Thank you, Jesus!

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Amazing Inspiration!

Maximizing my Mornings!

I couldn’t sleep last night. My mind was spinning and when I finally fell asleep, I woke up numerous times. So when my alarm went off at 5:00 am, I did not want to get up. But….I did! My husband and my son actually got up and worked out with me. It was awesome to start my day with my workout finished before I even left for work. DDP Yoga rocks!

My food choices were good all day. No cokes. =) I did drink tea but it wasn’t very sweet. Drinking more water and fighting a little bit of a headache from withdrawals.

I did my 100 crunches again tonight..even though my abs are killing me from last nights ab workout. (25 regular crunches, 25 oblique crunches on each side, and 25 reverse crunches.)

God is a sovereign God who is able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” Eph. 3:20. Without God, I can’t do much…but with God, there’s not much I can’t do!

DDP Yoga

Today, my husband and I started our day with our first DDP Yoga workout! It was great! I can tell that is going to take practice to get comfortable doing it. I was falling all over the place and had to do the modified moves several times, but I did enjoy it. I was feeling the burn and was sweating quite a bit by the end. I want to continue and build my strength, flexibility, and endurance. I was very inspired by the testimonial videos and I have decided that when I find something that encourages me or inspires me, I will be passing it on to my readers.

One of the biggest reasons I believe that I get off track so easily is that I do not plan ahead very well. Today, I went to the store and planned my menu for the week including snacks and lunches. This is a huge step in preparing for success!

Last night, while out having dinner with my husband, I ordered a coke. This wasn’t just any coke…LOL…it was ice cold… in a bottle… from Mexico. YUM! It was good, but when I finished it, I vowed that it would be my last. I went for about a year 1/2 without drinking sodas but got off track recently and started drinking them again. I know that there is no nutritional value and the sugar really adds up. No more cokes, just tea for now. Eventually, I want to give up my sweet tea and have decaffeinated tea with stevia.

One last thing, I did 100 crunches tonight at bedtime. I’m not going to proclaim a big commitment, but I would like to see how consistent I can be with my crunches. Lord knows, these abs need it!

Many Blessings!
